50th reunion -
Hello Everyone,
Summer More…2026 is approaching quickly, and the newly formed Grad Committee is busy planning our 50th reunion on June 13, 2026. Can you believe it’s been half a century since we rocked plaid, bell-bottoms, and platform shoes? Some of us may have traded those in for sneakers, reading glasses, or comfy chairs — but that just makes the stories better!
To make this event memorable and affordable, we’re hoping to get a expression of interest from everyone. This will help us secure venues and manage costs with confidence.
We’d love your ideas on our Facebook page—whether it’s gentle walks, hikes, bike rentals, golf, winery tours, dining experiences, beach days, or barbecues—we want something for everyone.
We’d also love to hear about your families—who has the most kids and grandkids, who’s traveling the farthest, and who’s become famous over the years. And of course, if you have news to share about classmates we’ve lost, please let us know so we can honor them.
Please reach out to Deb Gale by November 15, 2025, to let us know if you, your partner, or anyone else can join us for this special celebration. We can’t wait to reconnect, swap stories, and make some new memories together!
Warmly,
Your Grad Committee

Rod Butler passes away -
Hi all. For those of you who attended McNicoll Park More…School, I am saddened to advise that my father -- Rod Butler -- passed away on August 11 at the age of 94 years old.
He was an art and music teacher in Penticton for 30 years, so there were many students he taught along the way. Not only did he teach painting, drawing and pottery, but he also loved to lead choirs and musicals.

Hi Brian. Its nice that you are arranging a little get together for the group. I almost could make it as I am heading up to Kamloops and Vernon that week to ski but the timing is out a day or two (darn it). Will definitely try to attend another one if arranged. I hope that plans of our upcoming 50th reunion is discussed over the bevies. Can we hold it on your lovely property again? Just kidding. Thank you and Roxanne for all your efforts.
